When the chair is working we enjoy it; however, the control panel appears to be very sensitive to static electricity. The circuit board was replaced twice under warranty; with long delays for service. Now that the chair is out of warranty the board has failed again so the chair sits useless awaiting a very expensive service call. -- Maintenance nightmare
I had much better expectations from this massage chair. As another reviewer pointed out, it does hurt when it pushes up on your back, it makes your neck arch in a very uncomfortable way because you are trying to compensate for it's forceful pressing into your back. This may occur because this chair is designed for a short person. I'm 6' 3" and as I lay in the chair my legs are bent upward, instead of flat as they should be. I've contenplated taking off the bottom sole rest, since this doesn't appear to have any function of other than to support your foot. If I could stretch out, I'm sure this chair would feel better.
The neck and shoulders I don't feel it does a very good job, almost can't feel it around the head area at all. There is one mode where it presses down into your shoulders, and it's quite painful.
I mainly use this chair for my lower back, as I do find it has a good range of motion and can get way down toward the muscle that connects your butt to your back.
This chair has it plusses and minuses. The voice feature is a gimmick and after you hear it once, it becomes annoying and thankfully you can turn it off - which is what I'm would expect most users to do. I think you have to be short to enjoy this chair. For me, I don't think I got any where my moneys worth out of this chair.
I will continue to monitor what Panasonic has to offer, but in my opinion this chair missed the mark. -- Ouch, it can be painful
The Panasonic Real Pro Elite Massage Chair is the best that I have found. Wonderful massages with endless options to play with. I can imagine that someday they will make even better massage chairs and beds, but as of Nov 2007, this is the best yet! -- Perfect Massage!
I purchased this chair from Amazon about 2 months ago and I have been too busy laying in it to leave feedback.
By far the most amazing chair I have ever sat in in my entire life.
-- Wow... Dont buy this and expect to stay awake.
